Philip Hewat-Jaboor has been appointed an advisor to an initiative in Jersey in the Channel Islands to advise developers on the commissioning of new works of art under the island’s new Percentage for Art scheme.

The provision of these privately-owned sculptures, and other works of art, will enhance new buildings and developments for the pleasure of the local residents as well as to act as a magnet to encourage overseas visitors to the Island.

Some works will be directly influenced by Jersey’s rich heritage; others will be commissioned to enhance their immediate surroundings and will themselves become part of Jersey’s heritage.
